Product Description

SHOP & SUPPORT

In 2022 we join in celebrating the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture, declared by the General Assembly of the United Nations. It seeks to recognize the population of small-scale artisanal fishers, aquaculturists and fish workers around the world for the healthy and nutritious food they contribute in our global challenge to achieve Zero Hunger.

This is why, in 2022, we join the celebration by presenting in our Tide Calendar the most important species for artisanal fishing selected by the Puerto Peñasco – Puerto Lobos and Alto Golfo de California Fishing and Biological Corridor communities.

For decades the calendar has been used by residents, visitors and fishermen to plan their trips around the extreme tides of the upper Gulf of California. This calendar also has educational purposes, as it shares interesting information about the natural history, art and photography of the region. This year we add a QR code that will direct the reader to our blog, where we will provide additional information on the topics we are addressing during each month of the year.

Finally, over the last decade, the tide calendar has highlighted the results of cedo’s work with the communities of this beautiful region, where the Sonoran Desert meets the Sea of Cortez.

Support our MISSION and help us to Foster vibrant communities and resilient ecosystems in the northern Gulf of California and other ecoregions by bringing together people, knowledge and solutions.
