INCUBATOR PROGRAM

What is the incubator program?
CEDO's incubator program is designed to help start-up businesses get off the ground. Businesses that are accepted into the incubator program are given office space in the Orem Technology Center, a grouping of cubicles located within the CEDO building. These businesses utilize CEDO's resources to develop and grow, then graduate and move out-preferably to office space in Orem.

What is included in the incubator package?
For a monthly fee of only $90, Technology Center businesses receive the following features:
  • Office space (approximately 100 sq/ft per business)
  • Phone line and DSL Internet connection included in rent
  • Receptionist services and access to fax, printers, computers, copiers, and the CEDO boardroom
  • Free mentoring provided by established business professionals in areas such as legal services, accounting, financing, and marketing
Who qualifies for the incubator program?
Applicants are selected for the incubator program based on demonstration of direct potential benefit to Orem's business community. All applicants will be evaluated, but priority consideration is given to businesses with the following characteristics:
  • Create new employment opportunities in the community
  • Expand the tax base and increase sales, property, or other tax revenues in the community
  • Not a retail business
Outbound Client Program
The Outbound service is designed to meet the needs of those companies desiring to take advantage of CEDO's mentoring services without locating their business in the CEDO building. These companies will be entitled to three hours of mentoring per month and will have access to the CEDO conference room for $60/month. Additional hours of counseling will be available at $25/hour. The companies must also meet the following requirements:
  1. Complete and turn in a monthly progress report.
  2. Meet briefly with CEDO's Executive Director once a month to discuss progress and concerns.
  3. Pay invoice amount on time each month.
  4. A ninety day trial and evaluation period will be used to determine the client's progress and future status as an outbound client.
