CEDO BOARD OF TRUSTEES

CEDO's Board of Trustees is composed of volunteer professionals from the Orem community who have considerable experience in the business arena. The board meets once a month to review CEDO finances, hear City Council reports, review loan collections, and evaluate Revolving Loan Fund applications. Board members also provide incubator tenants with business planning assistance and feedback.

Members on the Board of Trustees volunteer their time and their service is greatly appreciated. Below are brief biographies of the current CEDO trustees:

Tim Christensen, the current Chairman of the Executive Board, has been a CPA for Squire and Company since 1981. He was an Orem City Council member, serving one term from 1993-1997. He has also served on the Provo Orem Chamber of Commerce board. Tim and his wife have one daughter. He has been a resident of Orem for 25 years. In his spare time, Tim likes to go fishing, hunting, and play golf. He is a certified pilot and owns his own plane.

Chris A. Dexter serves as the Vice Chairman of the Executive Board. He loves Orem and enjoys serving in the community in which he feels so blessed to live. Chris and his brother, J. Bryan Dexter, founded the 8-attorney, Orem law firm of Dexter & Dexter in 1995. Chris serves as president of the firm and manages its affairs along with practicing law in the areas of business, insurance and real estate. He lives in Lindon with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children. He enjoys his family, travel and hiking and spending time at his cabin. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Red Cross, The Hale Center Theater and The Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce.

Gary Winterton is president of OrangeSoda, Inc. Gary joins OrangeSoda after having served as executive vice president of Logoworks, a Hewlett-Packard Company. Prior to joining Logoworks, Gary served as vice president of sales at Enhance Interactive, (formerly ah-ha.com). Gary was one of the primary executives that led and contributed to the company's rapid growth and its eventual sale to Marchex. He has held a variety of senior leadership positions throughout his career including: founder and president of Internet Marketing Concepts, board of directors, Wiworks.com, western region manager of First Things First sales, and consultant for the Covey Leadership Center, as well as vice president of Clear Image, a Utah based production company. Gary lives in Lindon with his wife, Julie, and their five children. Gary is an avid outdoorsman, who enjoys hunting, fishing, and flying.

William A. Sederburg, President of Utah Valley University, has spent much of his time in the pursuit of excellence in education. Born in Nebraska but raised in Minnesota, President Sederburg began his academic journey by obtaining his own education: a bachelors degree from Mankato State University in Minnesota and a masters degree and doctorate both in Political Science from Michigan State University. He made Michigan his home for quite some time after that, serving in the state Senate and in various education capacities during a 20-year period. Dr. Sederburg and his wife, Joyce, a school psychologist, have two grown children - Matthew and Kari.

William (Bill) H. Talbot is originally from Panguitch, Utah and currently resides in Provo. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Accounting and Statistics. Bill has worked at Zions Bank for 25 years and has been Vice President and Manager of the North Orem Branch location for over 16 years. For the past 21 years, he has served as Chairman of the America’s Freedom Balloon Fest and was a past board member of the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce. He is an active member of the Kiwanis, Lions, and Rotary service clubs.
