Mr. Jon Allen, Capital Community Bank, Chairman
Jon Allen works as an attorney, director, and commercial loan officer for Capital Community Bank in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was involved in the creation of that bank in 1992. He is a graduate of the BYU Marriott School of Management, the University of Idaho College of Law, and the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. He volunteers as a small claims judge pro tempore and has taught the banking course at Utah Valley State College as an adjunct. He resides in Orem with his wife, Kristen.

Mr. Tim Larsen, Vice Chairman - Squire and Co.
Tim graduated with his Masters of Accountancy Degree from Brigham Young University in April of 1982. He has been involved in many community and civic organizations, include the Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce, the Utah Association of CPA's, and the Risk Management Association (he is currently serving as a Board Member). In 1994 he was voted the Outstanding Committee Chair while he served as chairman of the UACPA's Quality Review Committee. Tim and his wife, Elise, have nine children. They enjoy vacation trips, boating and waterskiing, hiking and camping, biking, snow skiing, hunting and fishing and most anything to do with the outdoors.

Mr. Carl Belliston, Quickutz
Mr. Carl Belliston has been with the board since June 2000. In 2004, he joined Quickutz as their General Counsel and Executive Vice President. He is still affiliated with the law firm Fillmore,Spencer, which specializes in meeting the needs of technology businesses. Carl is pursuing a PhD in Economics from the University of Utah, having graduated in Economics from BYU in 1984, and magna cum laude from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1987. He joined Fillmore in 1995 after spending the first eight years of his legal career with the distinguished New England firm Robinson & Cole. Carl and his wife, Michelle, are parents to seven children, including four teenage boys.

Mr. Rick Farr
Mr. Rick Farr was a former resident entrepreneur of BYU's and UVSC's Center for Entrepreneurship and has extensive experience in domestic and international business development. Rick received a bachelor's degree in Economics from BYU, a MBA from USC, and a PhD in Business Education from BYU. He has invested in several local start-up businesses and currently sits on the boards of several others, including ATA, Brainstorm, and Power Glide. Rick has two children, and his hobbies range from collecting stamps to riding his Harley.

Mr. Kyle Love, Direct Controls
Kyle is the current CEO of Direct Controls. Kyle received a Computer Science degree and a MBA from Brigham Young University. He has over twenty-six years of technical and managerial experience in the high tech industry. Kyle was founder of NACT, a multimillion dollar telecommunications company with preeminence in the area of specialized switching and billing systems for long distance telecommunications. In 1989 he co-founded a non profit organization called the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum to assist in the growth of the high tech industry in Utah. Kyle sold NACT to a public company in the mid 90's and focused on angel investing. In 1998 he and several others co-founded an angel investment group called the Utah Angels. He has invested in a number of Utah based companies through this angels group and currently serves on several boards and advisory boards with these companies.Kyle is experienced in raising capital through private placements, venture capital sources and public markets. Most recently, Kyle has been involved in corporate turnarounds. In 2002, Mr. Love joined Cogito Inc., and together with the founder, turned the company around, raised $10,000,000 in a Series B round and brought in a new management team to commercialize the technology.

Mr. Ben Peterson,
Ben graduated from BYU with a Business Management degree with an emphasis on Entreprenuership. He was the founder of MingleMatch in 2000 and recently sold it to Spark Networks in 2005. Ben is currently an angel investor. He previously worked at MyComputer.com, and Allegiance Technologies. Ben lives in Orem and is married with 4 children. In his free time he likes to mountain bike and spend time with his family.

Mr. John Pilmer, Pilmer PR
President of PilmerPR (www.pilmerpr.com), John Pilmer benefits clients with more than 20 years of successful public relations and marketing experience. He has led strategic marketing and PR initiatives for clients such as Altiris, EmergeCore Networks, FSLogic, Certiport, Novell, INVISUS,10x Marketing, MWI, and Rich Publishing, among others.

Pilmer has worked in the health benefits, financial services, and computer industries. Prior to starting his own consultancy, Pilmer served as a senior associate for Snapp Norris Group PR agency and Communications Manager for Certiport, a computer certification company. While at Certiport he had global responsibility for all internal and external communications including press, 6,000 channel partners, as well as employees.

Previously, Pilmer served as U.S. Press Relations Manager for Novell, a global network solutions company. With PR responsibility for strategic partnerships, venture capital investments, channels of distribution, events and services, he supported hundreds of public announcements and contributed to thousands of media stories about the company.

On the media side, Pilmer hosted the KLVI talk radio Computer Show in Southeast Texas and was guest columnist for the "Bits and Bytes" section of Southeast Texas Business Monthly. He holds an undergraduate degree in business management and marketing from BYU, as well as an MBA from the University of Utah.

Dr. Peter Robinson, UVSC
Dr. Robinson received his Ph.D. from Brigham Young University in Organizational Psychology in 1987. His work since that time has been in entrepreneurship and technology commercialization with special emphasis in education, training, and research on the characteristics of entrepreneurs. Peter has been active in research publishing 23 articles and book chapters and over 70 presentations at conferences, seminars and workshops in the US, Canada, Jamaica and Russia.

Dr. Robinson has taught courses in entrepreneurship, business planning, and consulting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has been active in program development at Utah Valley State College where he is the Morris Professor of Entrepreneurship and the Director of the Entrepreneurship Institute in the School of Business. Since his arrival in 2003 Peter has been instrumental in developing the UVSC Business Plan Competition, the "Entrepreneurial Endeavour," the high school entrepreneurship summer camp, "Be Your Own Boss," and the UVSC student incubator.

Dr. Gary Rhoads, BYU
Dr. Rhoads is currently the BYU Stephen Mack Covey Professor of Marketing, Academic Director of BYU's Entrepreneur Center in the Department of Business Management. A recipient of various Teaching Excellence awards, Rhoads has taught for universities and for corporations both in Europe and in the United States. He received a B.S. in Zoology with a minor emphasis in Chemistry, as well as an MBA from Idaho State University, and holds a PhD in Marketing from Texas Tech University. Gary is a former pharmaceutical sales representative, and is an accomplished writer, having been published in seven professional journals. He was a founding partner of Direct1.com, a consulting firm for Fortune 500 companies. He is presently the Founder of Allegiance Technologies.

Mr. Kent Thomas, CFO Solutions, L.C.
Kent served as chief executive or chief financial officer/controller of seven companies since 1980, including a $55 million, publicly traded corporation (Marathon Office Supply in Los Angeles, CA) and most recently as the Vice President and CFO of InsurQuote Systems, Inc. (an insurance rating software developer based in Provo, Utah).

Kent started his career in the Salt Lake City office of Ernst & Whinney (currently Ernst & Young) in 1979. Kent has a BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University (1979), an MBA from the University of Utah (1980), and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
